ok hers my idea in the show there was a splinter group of Asgard the Vanir they went against the high counsil because the ida asfard did believe in doing research on the Humans to fix the cloning so the vanir gathereed a couple asgard ships and went to the Pegus Galexy eventually the wraith found them and destroyed most of there ships so the pegus asgard or Vanir wore suits to protect themselves also while there Ida cousins Died of cloning degeneration where there dna coulnt not be cloned anymore the Ida asgard died while the Vanir lived and solved there cloning probles by using regualr himans as reseach so this is my idea Vanir
